Nestled in the lush state of Uttarakhand, India, lies a verdant wonderland known as Corbett National Park. This sprawling nature reserve, established in 1936, is named in honor of Jim Corbett, a revered British hunter, author, and conservationist who championed its cause. Spanning an impressive 520 square kilometers, Corbett National Park boasts a breathtaking diversity of flora and fauna, enchanting visitors with its natural beauty and untamed wilderness. One of the park's most alluring features is its majestic tigers, which roam free in their natural habitat, offering an awe-inspiring sight for lucky onlookers. But the park is also home to a stunning array of other wildlife, including elephants, leopards, deer, wild boars, jackals, langurs, and a rich variety of avian species.

If you are looking to book a safari at Jim Corbett National Park, there are a few things to keep in mind. Firstly, it is important to plan ahead and book your safari well in advance to ensure availability. You can make your safari booking online through the official website of the Corbett National Park or through authorized booking agents. When making your booking, you will need to choose from the different zones of the park that are open to tourists, such as Dhikala, Bijrani, Jhirna, Durga Devi, and Sonanadi. Each zone offers a unique experience, and it is recommended to research and choose the zone that aligns with your interests.

The Safari Zones in Corbett National Park are divided into 6 different zones, each with its unique features and attractions. These zones are Dhikala Zone, Bijrani Zone, Jhirna Zone, Dhela Zone, Durga Devi Zone, Phato Zone and Sitabani Buffer Zone.

The Dhikala Zone is the largest and most popular among the Safari Zones in Corbett. It is home to a wide range of wildlife, including the majestic Bengal Tiger, Asiatic Elephant, and several species of deer. The zone is open from mid-November to mid-June and can be accessed through the Dhangarhi Gate.

The Bijrani Zone is another popular Safari Zone in Corbett, known for its lush green forests and diverse wildlife. Visitors can spot tigers, leopards, elephants, and several bird species in this zone. The Bijrani Zone is open from mid-October to mid-June and can be accessed through the Amdanda Gate.

The Jhirna Zone is open throughout the year and is known for its diverse vegetation and wildlife. Visitors can spot tigers, leopards, and several species of deer in this zone. The Jhirna Zone can be accessed through the Dhela Gate.

The Dhela Zone is open throughout the year, unlike some of the other Safari Zones in Corbett, which are closed during the monsoon season. Visitors can access the zone through the Dhela Gate, which is located near the Ramnagar town. The gate is about 16 kilometers from the main entrance of the park.
